Working in churches presents very particular challenges and rewards. The buildings themselves can be very old and incorporate high-quality materials and workmanship.
The work carried out may be seen for hundreds of years so has to be to a high standard. Equally, the dignity and spirituality of the space need to be respected whilst providing members of the congregation with access for regular services and reacting to circumstances such as the need for a funeral with the minimum of fuss.
